Bhejo India

Bhejo India is set up in Santacruz over on 8th Cross. It is mostly a hub for the delivery bikes and the guys who handle the packages. We started this because there was a lot of stuff moving back and forth in this part of the city. The office is just a plain room with a few tables and some racks where the parcels get sorted before they go out. It can get pretty messy when a big shipment comes in all at once. We spend most of the morning checking addresses and making sure the riders know where they are going. Santacruz traffic is a nightmare sometimes, so we are always looking at the clock. The rainy season is the hardest part because everything gets wet and the roads get flooded. We have some old plastic sheets we use to cover the bags. The guys sit outside on their bikes during their breaks, usually having tea from the stall at the corner. We do not have a big corporate lobby or a front desk person. If you come by, you will probably see us counting boxes or taping up labels. It is hard work and the days are long, but the neighborhood knows us. We just focus on getting things from one point to another without too much fuss. It is a basic operation but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
