Bhawani Furniture House

Our shop Bhawani Furniture House is over in Oshiwara near Zaveri Bazar. We are positioned right opposite the Dhwani Building so we are quite easy to spot if you are walking through the market. This area is known for furniture and we have been a part of it for a good while. Inside it usually smells like cut wood and sometimes there is a bit of sawdust on the floor. We have various pieces on display but it is more of a working shop than a fancy gallery. We spend our days showing people different styles and talking about what kind of wood works for what. It is a bit cramped because furniture takes up so much room. The street outside is always busy with people and deliveries so it can be a bit chaotic at times. We are just local people who know how to put a chair or a table together. We do not use any big corporate talk or have a polished sales pitch. We just show what we have and explain how it was made. Sometimes we are busy in the back fixing something and other times we are just sitting out front waiting for the next person to walk in from the Zaveri Bazar area. It is a steady life of working with our hands and helping the neighbors get their houses furnished. The work is hard on the hands but we enjoy seeing a finished piece.
