Bhavna Prajapati

I work out of my home in Malad East, in Room No B 2 of the Nalanda Apartment. My name is Bhavna Prajapati and I’ve turned part of my living space into a work area. It is a quiet apartment building, which is good because I need to focus on the design work and the freelance projects I take on. I mostly do independent consulting and some creative work for small businesses that don't have their own staff. My desk is right by the window so I can see the street below while I’m working on my laptop. It’s just me here, so I don’t have any employees or a big office setup. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing in the hallway and it gets a bit noisy, but generally, it’s a peaceful spot. I’ve been in Malad for many years and I like that I can do everything from home without having to commute in the heavy Mumbai traffic. My clients usually just call me or we meet at a local cafe if we need to talk in person. The apartment is small but it has everything I need to get my tasks done. I keep my files organized in a small cabinet and try to keep a regular schedule, even though I’m working for myself. It’s a simple life and it works well for me.
