Bhagyalaxmi Electrics

We are located in Bhandup West on R R Roy Road. The shop is inside Hari Sadan, Prarthana Samaj 3. It is a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address but once you are here, it is easy to spot Bhagyalaxmi Electrics. I spend a lot of time sorting through wires and bulbs. The building, Hari Sadan, is an old one but it stays cool in the summer. Working in Bhandup West means you deal with all kinds of people. Some are looking for a quick fix for a fan and others just want to chat. I have a small stool I sit on near the front. The fan in the shop makes a bit of a clicking sound but it keeps the air moving. Prarthana Samaj 3 is a quiet area compared to the main road. I usually have tea around four in the afternoon from the stall nearby. My hands are often dusty from handling the electrical parts. It is not a shiny showroom. It is a place where work gets done. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road, making it hard for people to reach us. We just wait for them to move. Life moves at its own pace on R R Roy Road. I have been at this spot for years and I know most of the shopkeepers around here. Sometimes we borrow change from each other. It’s a decent place to be.
