Benas Bindi Collection

Down on Exhibition RD 5 in Mulund West, you will find the Benas Bindi Collection. It is a small shop, and the walls are mostly covered with rows and rows of small packets. We spend a lot of our time sorting through all the different colors and tiny designs. It is a lot of fine work, and our eyes usually get quite tired by the time evening comes around. The shop is not very wide, so when we have more than three or four people inside at once, it feels very full. We have a small wooden counter where we show the different collections to whoever comes in. We have been here for a long while, and many of the local residents know us by name. The street gets extremely busy during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. Sometimes we decide to stay open late when there are more people walking around the exhibition grounds nearby. We do not use a computer system for our sales; we just write everything down in a large paper ledger. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works perfectly for us. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks to get customers. We just put some of the newest stock near the front window so people can see the colors. The hot tea from the stall across the road is what keeps us going.
