Batuva

Our workshop is at unit 37 in the Suyog Industrieal Estate over in Vikhroli West. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s all about small factories and businesses squeezed in together. It’s a busy area, especially in the mornings when the trucks are trying to navigate the narrow lanes of the estate. Our space for Batuva isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put things. There is always the smell of grease and the sound of something being worked on. We don't have an office with fancy chairs; we mostly have stools and workbenches. The light isn't great, but we have some big fans to keep the air moving during the summer months. It gets pretty hot in here. Most of the guys have been working in Vikhroli for years and know the area like the back of their hand. We just focus on the orders we have for the week and try not to get too far behind. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend half a day fixing it ourselves. That’s just part of the deal when you run a place like this. We don't have a website or any marketing stuff. We just have our name on the door and our tools. It’s simple, honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It's a tough environment but we like it.
