Bandra Furniture

You can find Bandra Furniture at number four in Bandra East, right across the road from the Uttam Book Depot. It’s a busy spot, and the sidewalk is always crowded with students and commuters. Our shop is a bit small, so we often have to stack chairs or table legs in the corners to make enough room to move around. The smell of fresh wood and polish is the first thing you notice when you step inside. It’s a very practical space with sawdust on the floor and tools hanging on the walls where they are easy to reach. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a piece of timber. Sometimes, when it rains, we have to move everything back from the entrance to keep the wood dry. The Uttam Book Depot is a great neighbor because everyone knows where it is, so we just tell people to look for the books and then turn around. We’ve been at this location for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change from a quiet area to the bustling hub it is now. We don’t go in for fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our pieces are just sitting there in various stages of being finished. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but it’s where we do our honest work every day without any fuss or fancy talk.
