We’ve been down here on Nagdevi Street for quite a while now. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets near the Pipeline Road. Our shop is right on the ground floor, just across from Dana Bunder. Most days it’s just us surrounded by stacks of boxes and the smell of grease and metal. We deal with ball bearings and various machinery parts every single day. People come in looking for specific sizes or types that they can’t find elsewhere, and we spend a lot of time digging through our inventory to see what’s back there. It’s a bit dusty, and the 11th cross can get pretty noisy with all the trucks and handcarts moving stuff around. We just open up in the morning, check what’s come in, and try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer needs without too much fuss. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we handle a lot of heavy metal items and talk to mechanics or factory owners who need parts to keep their machines running. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the street gets blocked, but we just keep at it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the demand for bearings never really stops. It’s honest work, getting your hands a bit dirty and making sure the right part goes to the right person.
