Baba Plastic Scrap

Baba Plastic Scrap is located in Kandivali West at Magadi Main Road 16. What we do here is pretty simple to explain, even if it is hard work. We collect and sort through plastic scrap that comes from all over. The yard is usually filled with piles of different materials, sorted by type and color. It is not the cleanest job in the world, but it is important. We spend our days weighing bundles and loading trucks that take the material away for recycling. We have been here for a long time, and everyone on Magadi Main Road knows the spot. It is a busy place with people bringing in bags of plastic every hour. We don't have a fancy office or a corporate logo. It is just a gate, a scale, and a lot of space for the scrap. The weather can make things tough sometimes, especially when it rains, but we keep going. We have a small crew of guys who are good at identifying the different grades of plastic just by looking at them. We don't do much talking; we just get to work. People bring us their waste, we pay them a fair rate based on the weight, and that is about it. It is a very local, down-to-earth business. We are just trying to make a living while keeping some of that plastic out of the landfills. It is honest work for everyone involved in the yard.
