Our little shop in Bhayander East is at the 4th Cross on the 4th Main, 2nd Stage. It’s a bit of a mouthful to tell people the address, but they find us anyway. We spend our days looking through magnifying glasses at tiny green boards and little screws that are easy to lose. Mobile phones are fragile things, and we see a lot of cracked screens and batteries that have given up. It’s quiet work, mostly just the sound of a soldering iron or the tweezers clicking. We don’t have a big showroom with bright lights. Our counter is covered in old parts and half-fixed gadgets. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because the parts are hard to find. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just tell them if the phone can be saved or if it’s time to get a new one. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, so we’re always cleaning the display cases. We aren't part of some big chain. It’s just us here, trying to get people’s data back or fixing a charging port that got jammed with lint. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and we know most of the regulars. It’s a small space, but it’s enough for what we do and we keep things moving as best as we can.
