Ashok Plastic Works

Bhuleshwar is always a crowded place to be, and our spot at Ashok Plastic Works is right in the middle of all that noise. The shop is filled with all kinds of plastic items, from small containers to bigger household things that people need. It’s quite packed in here, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. You can hear the sounds of the street vendors and the traffic all day long while we work. We spend most of our time moving boxes around and keeping track of what’s in the back versus what’s on the floor. The air usually smells a bit like new plastic, especially when a fresh delivery comes in. It’s a simple business and we’ve been in this area for a long time now. We know how the rhythm of the market goes, with the busy mornings and the slightly slower afternoons. Most of the people who come in are local folks or other shopkeepers looking for specific items. We don’t have any big signs or fancy decorations, just the products and a small desk where we handle the cash and the notebook. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we’re used to it by now. We just stay busy with the orders and talk to the neighbors when they pass by. It is just a regular way to make a living in a very busy part of town.
