Ashika Art Jewellery

Our place is tucked away in Tanaji Nagar over in Kurar Village, Malad East. It is a lively neighborhood where everyone seems to know each other. We work on all kinds of art jewelry right here in the shop. It is not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but once you get into the village lanes, you will see us. We have been doing this for a bit now. The space is filled with small tools and bits of jewelry that we work on daily. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We aren't a big corporation with lots of staff. It is just a few of us making sure the jewelry looks decent. Most of our day is spent sitting at the desks and working under the lights. Malad East has its own vibe and we feel like we are part of the local community here. We see the same faces passing by every morning. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or decorations. We just want to get the jewelry done and out to whoever needs it. It’s a honest living and the work keeps us occupied from start to finish. We often have a bit of tea in the evenings while finishing up the last pieces for the day. It is quiet then.
