Ashapura Mobile

O P H Road in Mumbai is always busy, and our little spot here at Ashapura Mobile stays right in the middle of it. We spend most of our mornings just getting things ready and wiping the dust off the glass counters. People come in all day for different things, maybe a new screen protector or just to ask why their battery isn't holding a charge like it used to. We don't have a big fancy setup, just some stools and the tools we need to get the job done. Sometimes it gets crowded when three people show up at once wanting recharges, but we manage. My cousin helps out when he can, especially on Saturdays. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, new shops opening and others closing down, but we stay put. It's not always easy keeping up with all the new phone models that come out every month. Half the time, we have to look up the parts ourselves. We keep a stock of basic cables and some cases that people seem to like. The tea stall next door is where we get our energy from, usually around four in the afternoon. If you walk past the O P H Road area, you’ll probably see us sitting there near the door. We just try to keep things simple and help out the folks who live nearby with whatever phone trouble they've got going on that day.
