We are tucked away off Sitladevi Temple Road in Mahim, specifically at number 305. Arshad Electronics Pvt Ltd has been here for a good while. The lane is a bit narrow, so if two cars try to pass each other, everything stops for a minute. It’s a typical Mahim neighborhood with a lot of life happening all around us. Inside our place, there are shelves lined with various components and old testing equipment. The walls used to be white but they are more of a grey color now. We have a small crew of people who have been working together for years. We usually get tea from the shop near the temple entrance twice a day. The humidity from being so close to the ocean makes the air feel thick, especially in June and July. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see someone at a workbench with a soldering iron or a multimeter. It’s a busy environment but we don't rush things too much. Mistakes happen when you rush. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks from when we moved the heavy machinery in. We like the area because everything we need is within walking distance. Sometimes the power flickers when the monsoon is at its worst, but we just wait it out. It’s just a regular business doing its thing in a busy part of the city.
