If you ever find yourself on Veers Desai Road in Andheri West, you might notice our little spot at Shop No. 1 and 2 in Vasant Milestone. It’s a busy area with a lot of traffic and people always rushing to the metro or their offices. Inside our shop, things are a bit more focused on the drawing side of things. We usually have papers and pencils scattered all over the desks because that’s how Arjun Archer Designs operates. It’s not one of those polished studios you see in magazines. It’s a bit messy with half-finished sketches and color swatches pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time arguing about which shade looks better under the lights or how to fit everything into a small space. The tea stall nearby knows our order by heart since we go there almost every afternoon. Sometimes the rain makes it hard for people to visit, but we stay inside and keep working on whatever project is currently on the table. It’s mostly just us sitting around a computer or a drafting board, trying to make sense of a new idea. We don't have a big corporate team. We are just a few people who know how to get things done without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been in this building for some time and like being part of the local community here. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic, but we are used to the Andheri hustle by now. It’s just part of being here.
