Archit Mobile Shop

Archit Mobile Shop is over on the 90 Feet Road area near Dharavi and Kalina. It’s a small shop, but we make the most of the space we have. We have been in this exact spot for quite a few years now. The main thing we do is sell basic phones and help the local people with their repairs. The workbench in the back is always full of tiny screws, wires, and small tools. It’s a lot of fine work that needs a lot of patience and good eyes. Sometimes the spare parts take a few days to arrive from the supplier, so we have phones sitting in the drawer waiting to be fixed. The street outside is always noisy with the sounds of buses and rickshaws going by. We get a lot of people walking in just to ask questions about how to use their devices. We don't have a big team, just myself and one assistant who knows the software stuff pretty well. The walls are covered with posters of different phone brands, and some of them look pretty old and faded now. We keep a small fridge for cold water because the heat can be tough during the summer afternoons. It’s a simple setup without any frills. We open around ten and stay late because that’s when people finish their work and stop by on their way home. We don't use any fancy computer systems, just a big ledger.
