Antique Style

Our shop is at 337/2692 in the Bangur Nagar area. We are based in the Gangotri Tower, very close to the Bangur Nagar Police Chowky. The space is packed with all kinds of older furniture and decorative items. It can get a bit tight inside because we try to show so many different pieces at once. There is a distinct smell of wood wax and old metal that you notice as soon as you step inside. We spend a lot of time dusting things off or moving the furniture around to make space. The windows are quite big but they get covered in street dust pretty fast. We have a small corner in the back where we do minor repairs or touch up the finish on some items. It isn't the most organized place, but we have our own system for finding things. Some days are very quiet and we just wait for someone to come in and look at a lamp or a cabinet. Having the police chowky nearby makes the street feel very safe. We have a couple of chairs for visitors to sit and chat, but mostly it is just a place for storage and sales. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show people what we have found. It is a slow and steady way to spend the day among old things.
