Ankita Plastic

Ankita Plastic is based in Malad West on Raj Gopal Road. It's not a huge place, just a regular shop where we handle various plastic goods. We've been on this road for quite a while now. If you're coming from the station side, you have to watch for the turn. The street gets crowded in the evenings. Inside, we have stacks of containers and different items piled up. It's a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment in. We usually keep the shutters half-down when it's too hot in the afternoon. My cousin helps out with the lifting and moving. We don't really do much advertising. Most people who come here live in the nearby buildings or have small businesses themselves. It’s a simple setup. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger. No computers really, just paper and pens for the most part. It works for us. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door during monsoon, so we have to move the stock around. You get used to it after a few years. Malad is a busy area, always something happening outside on Raj Gopal Road. We stay open until late most nights. It's just a normal way to earn a living. Nothing fancy or complicated about it. We just sell what people need for their houses or shops. It's a lot of plastic buckets and crates. We try to stay organized but it's hard when space is tight.
