Anil Watch & Electronics

Chembur is a busy place and our shop is right there at 94 N.G. Acharya Marg. Anil Watch & Electronics has been around for quite some time now. You can see the sign from the road, though the paint is starting to peel a little at the edges. Inside, it’s mostly just glass counters filled with watches and some electronic bits scattered around the back. There is a small stool where we sit when things are quiet. People from the neighborhood stop by mostly for small things like a battery change or when a strap breaks on their favorite watch. We have a lot of tools on the workbench, some so tiny you can barely see them. It gets a bit dusty in the afternoons when the traffic picks up outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping the glass. The shop isn't very big, but we know where every single screw and spring is kept. Sometimes the wall clocks all chime at different times and it makes a bit of a racket. We don't mind it much. There is a tea stall just a few doors down, and the smell of ginger tea usually drifts in around four o'clock. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a regular spot where we do our work every day. Most people who walk in are regulars who live just around the corner in Chembur. We keep the doors open from morning until late evening.
