Ananta Oorja

Ananta Oorja is tucked away in Jogeshwari West, inside Vrajniddhi Apartment, room 82. It’s a typical apartment building, so you have to sign in with the watchman at the gate before coming up. The office is small and mostly filled with desks and a few cabinets for our files. We focus on energy stuff, which means a lot of technical drawings and looking at maps on the wall. It’s a quiet operation for the most part, just the sound of the ceiling fans and people talking on their mobiles. We’ve got a small window that overlooks the street, and we spend a lot of time watching the traffic jams below when we need a break. The space is a bit cramped because we have more books and papers than we have shelf space for. It feels more like a home office than anything else. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who show up every morning and get through the list of tasks. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around just to make room for someone to walk past. It’s a bit disorganized at times, with notes stuck to every available surface, but we know where everything is. It’s just a normal workplace in a busy part of the city. We do our work, drink our chai, and head home when the sun goes down. Most people don't even know we are in this building.
