Anant Traders

We are located over on Subedar Chatram Road, number 90, near Charni Road. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always someone walking past the door. Anant Traders is mostly a wholesale place, but we handle all sorts of walk-ins too. The shelves are packed pretty tight with boxes. We have everything from small hardware bits to larger supplies stacked up in the back. I usually spend the first hour of the day checking the inventory and seeing what arrived on the truck overnight. It can be a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, and everyone has to step around the crates. I’ve worked here for a long time and I know where every single item is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. We don't bother with much decoration. The walls are just plain and the floor is concrete. It’s a real working shop. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to read the paper for a minute. Most of the other shopkeepers on Charni Road are friends of ours. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here at 90. It’s a simple setup. We sell things, we stock things, and we go home. That’s about all there is to it. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door, so we keep the boxes off the floor there.
