Down in Goregaon West, you will find us at Gala No A4 inside the Shakti Industrial Premise. This is where Anam Engineering is based. It is not the quietest place to work, honestly. There is always the sound of machines running or someone moving heavy metal parts around the concrete floor. The industrial estate is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, with lots of small units like ours all packed together. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and repairs. Our hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning, and the floor is often covered in metal shavings or bits of scrap. It is practical work. We don't have a fancy showroom or a lobby with a coffee machine for guests. If you come by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a lathe or checking some blueprints on a cluttered desk in the corner. The air smells like oil and burnt metal, which is just part of the job. We’ve been in this gala for a good while, and we know the other shop owners around here well. If we need a specific tool or a bit of advice, someone usually has it. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We take on various small engineering jobs that come our way from local businesses. It is not about being the biggest shop in Goregaon; we just want to make sure the parts we make actually fit and work correctly for the machines.
