Amin Furniture is right on S V P Road, specifically at Survey No 273. If you know the area, we are quite near the Khoja Kabrastan, which is the easiest way to describe the location to anyone new. It’s been our family spot for years. The shop is always a bit messy with wood shavings on the floor and piles of timber in the corner, but that’s just how a workshop looks. We aren't a big factory with machines doing everything; we still do a lot of the cutting and joining by hand. My uncle started this place, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We make things like cupboards, beds, and tables, mostly for the people living in the surrounding blocks. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but you get used to it. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in, show us a drawing or a photo, and we tell them if we can do it and how much it will cost. We try to be honest about the time it takes, though sometimes wood deliveries are late. The rains can be a bit of a problem when we are trying to dry the polish, so things might take longer in July. It’s just a local furniture shop where we take pride in using good wood and making things that last.
