If you are looking for our office, we are in Ghatkopar West, right inside the C5/128 Dgqa Residential Complex. It’s in Jagdushanagar, which is a busy part of Mumbai. Being in a residential complex means it’s a bit different from a standard office building. We have to be mindful of the neighbors and the general flow of people living their lives around us. The office itself is compact. We’ve got our computers and the usual stacks of paper that seem to follow us everywhere. Traffic in Mumbai is always a factor, so half the time we are talking about how long it took to get in from the station or wherever someone is commuting from. We handle the local side of things for Ambuja Cement Ltd from this spot. It isn’t a massive factory site; it’s more of an administrative hub where we keep the records straight. The air conditioner works hard in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. It’s a small team here, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We don’t have fancy meetings with slides; we just talk across the desks about what needs to be finished. It’s just a normal workplace in a crowded city, doing the boring but necessary work that keeps everything else moving along.
