We have been over here at 27, R.J. Compound in Yadav Nagar for quite some time now. If you know Maszid Lane on Kherani Road, you know it gets pretty busy around Sakinaka. Our shop is just one of those places where there is always something going on. It’s not fancy or anything like that. Most days start early when the sun is just coming up and the tea stalls are starting to open. Amar Engineers is basically just a group of us working with metal and parts. The walls are a bit stained from all the oil and the machines make a lot of noise, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we have to move things away from the door. We don't spend much time cleaning up for visitors because there is always another job waiting. You’ll find us tucked away in the compound, usually covered in grease or dust depending on the hour. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. People stop by, ask if we can fix something, and we see what we can do. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just see someone under a machine or holding a wrench. Sakinaka is a loud place anyway, so we just fit right in with the rest of the noise and the traffic on Kherani Road.
