We are over at Chakala in unit 601. It’s mostly just desks and a lot of technical equipment stacked up. Alcatel Business Systems has been in this spot for some time now. The elevator in this building is always slow, so we end up waiting a lot. It’s not some fancy corporate showroom. It’s just where the work happens. We deal with business systems and all the messy wiring that comes with that. Some days are just spent on the phone or looking at manuals. It gets a bit loud because of the location, but you get used to it. The team here is small. We mostly just focus on getting through the stack of orders or fixing whatever system went down yesterday. There’s always a pile of boxes near the entrance that we mean to clear out. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the office. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a group of people working in the Chakala area. Most of our day is spent making sure things are plugged in correctly. It's a practical job. We don’t have much in the way of decor, just some old posters. It’s a bit cramped when we get new shipments in. We just handle the business stuff and go home. That's pretty much the whole story. It’s hard to keep the place tidy with so much hardware lying around. We’ve got cables running along the floor and stacks of paperwork on every flat surface. We eventually find what we need.
