Our office is located at number 38 in the Mumbai Ashok Soping Complex. It’s right on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to find us without having to hunt for an elevator. We’re part of the GT Hospital Complex area, so there’s always people moving around outside. It can get a bit crowded in the hallways of the complex sometimes. We spend our days dealing with foreign service paperwork and helping people figure out their travel and work documents. It’s a lot of stamps and signatures. We aren't some big corporate setup with glass walls. It’s just a practical office with enough chairs for everyone who waits. Sometimes the queue gets a bit long, especially in the mornings. We try to get through the files as fast as we can, but these things take time. The lights in the complex flicker occasionally, but we just keep working. Most of us here know the local chai wallahs and where to get a quick snack when the afternoon slump hits. We’ve seen a lot of people head off to new jobs from this office over the years. It’s a busy life, and the work never really stops. We just take it one person at a time and try to make sense of the forms.
