My daily routine happens mostly inside Flat Number 21, which is in Building A/222 over in Mahim’s Abhyudaya Nagar. It’s quite close to Shivaji Park and the Yes Bank branch nearby, which is how I usually tell people to find me. Since it’s a residential building, it feels a bit different from a standard corporate office. I use one of the rooms specifically for my work, so there’s a desk, a computer, and a lot of books and papers. The neighborhood is generally quite lively, especially with the park so close by. You can often hear children playing or people walking their dogs outside. I’ve lived and worked in Mahim for a long time, so I’m used to the pace here. Sometimes my neighbors drop by for a quick chat, which is a nice break from the screen. My work involves a lot of individual projects, so I spend a good chunk of my day focused on research and writing. The kitchen is just a few steps away, so I probably drink more tea than I should throughout the day. It’s a comfortable setup and it allows me to be flexible with my hours, which is helpful. The building is older but well-maintained, and there’s a nice sense of community among the people who live here. I usually go for a walk near Shivaji Park in the evenings to clear my head after finishing.
