Ajmat Creations

Our shop, Ajmat Creations, is at R 12 in the Dwarikadham Society on Ram Mandir Road. We are in Goregaon West, quite close to the Movie Star Theater, so there is usually a lot of noise and people around, especially on the weekends. We do a lot of creative work and making things, which means the place is usually a bit of a mess with materials spread out everywhere. There are scraps of fabric or paper on the floor and our desks are covered in pens and tools. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other when we are busy. The building is a typical residential society setup, so it feels more like a home than a cold office. We often have the door open to let some air in because it gets stuffy with all the machines running. We’ve had some of the same people coming to us for years because they know exactly where to find us. We don’t do any big advertising or anything; we just rely on people seeing our sign near the theater. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a break when the sun starts to go down. It is just a normal, hardworking shop where we try to get through the orders as they come. It's not always perfect, but we do what we can with what we have.
