Ajanta Furnitures

Our place is in Lower Parel, right at 315 on the 1st Cross. We are in the Deen Building which is in Ambedkar Nagar, just across from the Pragati Industrial Estate. The shop is on the 5th Main road. It’s an area where there’s always some kind of construction or industrial work happening. Inside, you’ll mostly find wood dust and the smell of polish. We have been making and selling furniture here for quite some time. It's a bit of a maze getting through the streets around the industrial estate sometimes, but once you find the Deen Building, we are right there. The space is filled with tables, chairs, and cupboards in various stages of being finished. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights; it's more of a workshop where things actually get made. The crew is small, just local guys who know their way around a saw and a hammer. We spend our mornings moving heavy pieces around and our afternoons dealing with deliveries. It’s loud because of the machines and the traffic outside, but it’s a good place to work. People from the nearby offices and houses often stop by to see what we have. We don't do much talking, mostly just focusing on the wood and making sure things are sturdy. It’s a simple business in a busy part of the city, just trying to provide what people need for their homes. We take things as they come and just keep working.
