Air Tech Engineering

Our place is in Goregaon East, specifically at Number 9 in the Universal Compound on Paud Road. It is an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving in and out and the sound of other workshops nearby. We do engineering work here, which means there is a lot of heavy machinery taking up most of the floor space. The compound is a bit old and the ground is uneven, but it is a good spot for this kind of business. We spend the day over the lathes or checking the specs on different parts. It gets quite hot under the tin roof, especially in the middle of the afternoon, so we have a couple of big industrial fans that move the air around. There is no air conditioning here, just hard work and plenty of sweat. Most of the guys have been working with us for years and they know the machines by heart. We keep the grease and the tools in specific spots, but by the end of the week, things usually get a bit cluttered. We usually have a lot of metal rods and sheets leaning against the walls. It is not the kind of place where you would wear a suit. We are right in the middle of the Goregaon industrial belt, and we like the grit of it. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down and the compound gets quiet.
