Advocate Suchandan Sarkar

My office is located in the Kamdar Shopping Centre, which is right opposite the railway station in Vile Parle East. I'm on the second floor, in Office No 26. Being right by the station means it is always noisy and crowded outside, but it makes it very easy for people to reach me. I've been at this Lamington Road and Opera House area location for a while now. The office is filled with stacks of files and law books, which is pretty much what you'd expect. It’s not a modern, minimalist space. There are papers everywhere and a couple of old wooden chairs for visitors. I spend most of my day reading through cases or meeting with people who have legal questions. It is just me and a clerk who helps with the filing. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing budget. Most people find me because they were walking past the shopping centre or were recommended by someone else in the neighborhood. Vile Parle is a great place to work, even with the constant hum of the trains. I try to keep things straightforward when I talk to people. Law can be confusing, so I just say it like it is. It’s a busy life, but I’ve been doing it a long time. I just take each case as it comes and try to be practical.
