Our office at Adroit Managers Placement Consultants is up at Mulund West 801. It’s an older building, and the elevator can be a bit slow sometimes, so we tell people to give themselves an extra minute when they come for a visit. We spend our days looking at resumes and talking to people about their careers. It’s just a few of us here, and we’ve been working together for a long time. We don't have a fancy reception area with a coffee machine. We just have our desks and our phones. Most of our work is done through conversations. We try to find out what someone is really looking for in a job, not just what’s on their paper. We aren't a big corporate recruitment firm. We’re just a local consultant office in Mulund. We know the companies in the area and we know what kind of people they are looking for. The office can get a bit quiet in the afternoons, but then the phone starts ringing again and it gets busy. We don't have any big mission statements or polished marketing talk. We just try to help people find work and help companies find staff. It’s straightforward and honest. We’ve got stacks of files and binders everywhere, but we know where everything is. We like the work because every day is a bit different. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help out where we can.
