We are based over in Goregaon West, right in the heart of one of Mumbai’s busiest suburbs. The office is in a building that’s seen better days, but it’s a good location for getting to the station and the bus depot. Being in Goregaon means there’s always a rush of people outside and the sound of horns is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so many desks packed into the space. The air conditioning works okay, but sometimes it struggles when the afternoon sun hits our windows. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and the coffee machine, which is where most of the office gossip happens. It’s a very fast-paced environment and there’s always someone coming in for an interview or to drop off some documents. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls or designer furniture. It’s all very functional, with metal cupboards and standard office chairs. Sometimes the elevator in our building is out of order, so we have to trudge up the stairs, which isn't fun in the humidity. We are just a local team at Adecco doing our best in a crowded city. Most of us live nearby and take the local train to work. It’s a typical Mumbai office—busy, noisy, and always full of things to do.
