Action Construction Equipment (P) Ltd.

Our place is in Srikant Chambers, room 401. It’s on the Sion-Trombay Road in Chembur. The traffic outside is almost always backed up, especially near the signal. Action Construction Equipment (P) Ltd. is a bit of a mouthful, but we just call it the office. We deal with a lot of heavy machinery stuff, but this is the administrative side of things. There are files everywhere. We have a couple of rows of desks and some old chairs for visitors. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters. It’s a busy office where the phones don't stop ringing. We spend the day coordinating with sites and making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough during the humid afternoons. We eat our lunch at our desks most days because there’s so much to do. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy decorations or expensive rugs. We just want to make sure the paperwork is correct and the logistics are sorted. Chembur is a good location for us because it’s central for the guys coming from different parts of the city. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we’re more like a small family than coworkers. We just get on with it and try to stay organized amid all the folders.
