We've been here at B/7 in Byculla for a good while now, and it’s a busy spot that we’ve really grown to like. People come in looking for all sorts of different things, and we try our best to keep the shelves stocked with what’s actually needed by the folks around here. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the morning when everyone is in a rush, but we manage to get through it. My cousin helps me out most days, and we just focus on getting through the orders without making too much of a mess. It’s definitely not a big fancy place, just a regular trading setup where we handle the daily back and forth of goods and boxes. We see the same faces every week, which is nice because you get to know how people like things done. If something isn’t in stock, we tell you straight up. There’s no point in making up stories about when a truck might arrive if we aren’t totally sure ourselves. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but the inventory is what really matters. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the right packages go to the right people. It’s steady work, and we’re happy to be doing it right here. Byculla has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We open up early and stay until the last few bits of paperwork are finished. It is just life.
