A1 Compuhire

If you find yourself on Bachammal Road 14 in Khar West, that is where A1 Compuhire is based. We basically rent out computers and related gear to people who need them. It’s a practical business. We have rows of laptops and desktops sitting on shelves waiting for the next person to pick them up. The office isn't very large, so it’s mostly filled with boxes and cables. We spend a lot of time checking the equipment to make sure everything still turns on. Sometimes things get banged up during a rental, so we have to fix them up ourselves. Khar West is a busy area, so there is always someone coming or going. We don’t really have a lobby, just a counter where we handle the paperwork. It’s a bit cramped, but it gets the job done. We’ve been on this road for a while and the people around here are friendly enough. We don't do any big fancy marketing. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the door. Sometimes we have to deliver the stuff ourselves if a customer is nearby. It keeps us on our toes. The rain in Mumbai can make things tricky when we’re moving electronics around, so we keep a lot of plastic sheets handy in the back room. It is just a regular day-to-day operation for us and we keep it moving.
