A W Communications

A W Communications is a small shop on JSS Road 188-1/3 in Kurla West. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets near the station. We are just a short walk from there. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter watching the world go by through the open door. We sell mostly recharges and basic mobile accessories like earphones and chargers. The wires always get tangled up no matter how many times I straighten them out. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but I know where every single item is kept. The ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that I’ve stopped noticing after all these years. Customers come in mostly for small things, like a new SIM card or to fix a charging port that got loose. I have a small stool behind the counter that is starting to lose its padding. My neighbor who runs the garment shop often comes over to chat when business is slow. We talk about the weather or the price of vegetables. It’s a simple life here in Kurla. We don't have fancy lights or a music system. Just a radio that plays the news in the morning. People know they can come here and get their phone checked without any fuss. It’s just a regular shop for regular people who live and work in the neighborhood and need their phones working.
