Down in Malad West, at 216/B in the BT Complex, you will find us at A J Plastics. The complex is always humming with the sound of different small businesses, and our unit is no different. We have several machines that stay busy throughout the day, and there is usually a pile of plastic material waiting to be processed. It is a practical, working space with concrete floors and high shelves for the finished products. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small corner with a table where we handle the paperwork and the phone calls. The air is often warm from the machinery, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. Most of our day is spent making sure the production is going okay and checking the quality of the items coming off the line. It’s a hands-on job, and we usually end the day with a bit of dust on our clothes. We supply to various local businesses, so we are always packing things into large bags or boxes for delivery. The BT Complex has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We know the other business owners around here, and we often help each other out when someone needs a tool or a bit of extra space. It’s just a steady, honest business where we focus on the work in front of us.
