R. V. Handicrafts is located right in the heart of the Bartan Bazar at Mandi Chowk. We are directly opposite the Shahi Majjid, so we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day. This part of the market is always full of life and the sounds of metal hitting metal. Our shop is surrounded by history and other craftsmen who have been here for generations. Inside, the shelves are packed with different items we have worked on. It is not a shiny, modern store; it has a lot of character and maybe a bit of dust in the corners. We spend most of our time at the back where the actual work happens. The smell of the market—spices, old stone, and metal—comes right into the shop. We have been part of this community for a long time. People come here because they know we are just regular folks who know our trade. There is no receptionist or fancy waiting area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when things are slow just to watch the crowd in the bazaar. It is a simple way of living and working. We don't put on any acts. We just handle the handicrafts and keep the shop going as best as we can in this busy corner of the city.
