Nizam & Sons

Nizam & Sons is located on Bhatti Street, not far from the Ziarat. It is an old part of town and the streets have a lot of history in them. We are a family-run place and the name on the board has been there since my father’s time. The shop is simple, with basic walls and a few old benches for people to sit on while they wait. We don’t have any modern gadgets or flashy lights. Most of our tools are old but they still work perfectly fine for what we need. The area near the Ziarat is usually peaceful, though it gets quite crowded on Fridays when people come for prayers. We like the quiet rhythm of Bhatti Street. Our days start early with a bit of cleaning and then we settle into the work. We handle things manually and take our time to make sure nothing is rushed. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It is a very traditional way of doing things, I suppose. We don’t use computer systems to track everything; we just remember who bought what or write it down in a thick ledger book. It’s just a small family business trying to keep the old ways going in a world that seems to be moving much faster than we are.
