Kamal Handicrafts is based in the Katghar area, specifically in Singhman Hazari. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to the CL Gupta Eye Hospital. It’s a well-known landmark, so people usually don’t have much trouble finding the way. Our workplace is a busy one. There’s usually a lot of material laying around and the smell of raw supplies. We aren't a high-end boutique with glass displays. It’s a workshop through and through. We have been here for years, and the walls show it. We don't bother with painting them too often because they just get dusty again from the work we do. There are several of us who work here, mostly just local folks who have learned the trade over time. We don't have a big human resources department or corporate rules. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. Some days the weather is too hot and we have to slow down, but mostly we just keep pushing through. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just tell people where we are and what we make. It’s a straightforward life in Katghar. We like being part of the local economy here and seeing our work go out to different places. It isn't always easy, but we have been doing it for a long time and we like the routine.
