Sandhu Vashno Dhaba

Our dhaba is out in Village Singhawala, which is on the Kotkapura Road in Moga. It is a quiet area compared to the big cities, but there is still plenty of movement on the road. Being a Vashno dhaba, we only serve vegetarian food, which is what the people around here usually look for. We get a lot of farmers and local villagers stopping by, along with people traveling between Moga and Kotkapura. The building itself is simple, nothing flashy at all. We just have our kitchen and a place for people to sit down and eat. Living and working in a village like Singhawala means we know almost everyone who passes through. It is a friendly place, and we try to keep it that way. The days start early when the trucks begin to move on the road. We get the tea going and start prepping the vegetables for the day. It’s a very practical way to live, just serving the community and making sure nobody goes away hungry. The winters here can get quite cold, so we keep the fire going, and in the summer, it’s all about finding a bit of shade. We don’t use any marketing tricks or anything like that. We just do our work and hope people like the food enough to come back next time they are on this road. It is just a regular Punjab roadside dhaba where things stay pretty much the same day after day and night after night.
