Pappi Chicken Corner

Our little corner is on Ferozepur Road in Moga, not far from the Improvement Trust Office. It’s a busy road and we get a lot of people stopping by while they’re out running errands or heading home. We focus on chicken dishes, and the grill is usually the busiest part of the kitchen. You can see the smoke and smell the spices from the sidewalk. It’s not a fancy restaurant by any means. It’s just a place to get some good food without paying for a lot of extras you don’t need. We have some seating, but it’s basic. Most nights it’s a lot of people standing around waiting for their parcels. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but good cooking takes time. The floor gets a bit greasy sometimes and it’s always loud with the sound of the traffic and the kitchen. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The sign outside has faded a bit over the years but everyone in Moga knows where we are. We don’t put on any acts. We just cook the chicken the way we’ve always done it and hope people keep coming back. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. There are days when everything is a bit of a mess, but we always get through it by the end of the night. If you’re around 142001, we’re probably open and the grill is already hot. It's just a simple life for us.
