Vidya Bhawan Public School

Starting the day here in Khekra isn't always quiet. Vidya Bhawan Public School sits right here in the middle of things in Baghpat. Most mornings, you can hear the rickshaws and the buses pulling up near our gate. It’s just a normal school building, nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done for the families around here. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running. The classrooms have desks that have seen a lot of students over the years. You’ll find teachers drinking tea in the staff room before the first bell rings. It gets pretty dusty in the summer, but that’s just how it is in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We have a playground where the kids run around and kick balls during the break. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows to let the breeze in. It's a place where local kids come to learn their math and science. Our address is Khekra, Baghpat - 250101, and we’ve been here for a while now. People know us as the place down the road where the kids wear their uniforms every day. There is a lot of noise during recess, but then it gets quiet again when classes start. It's just a regular part of life here. We don't have big posters or anything. It's just a school for the local community where everyone mostly knows each other's names.
