The Smart Classes

The Smart Classes is located in Thappar Nagar, specifically at House No -302/2. It is right at the back side of the main bus stand here in Meerut City. Being so close to the bus stand means it is always noisy and there is a lot of dust from the road. We spend a good part of every morning just dusting the benches and tables before anyone arrives. The building is just a regular house that we converted for teaching. It’s not a fancy office building or a corporate center. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to open all the windows to get some air in. People often get lost finding us because the lanes are narrow, so we tell them to look for the bus stand first. We started this because there weren't many places around this part of Meerut for kids to study after school. It’s a busy spot, and there is always someone coming or going. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the classes to get around to it. We keep a water cooler in the corner for the students. It’s a very practical setup. No big signs or flashing lights, just a small board outside. We mostly know the neighbors by name and sometimes they stop by for a quick chat. It’s just how things work in this neighborhood. We keep it simple and focus on the lessons every day.
