You’ll find Shanti Niketan Vidhyapeeth out on Mawana Road in Meerut. It’s a long road and we’ve seen it change a lot over the years as more buildings have gone up around us. We have a decent-sized plot of land here, which is nice because it gives the kids some room to breathe away from the main road traffic. The school building is quite large, with several floors of classrooms. It’s not a brand-new modern structure; it has that look of a place that’s been lived in and used by generations of students. We have big metal gates at the front that stay closed once the school day starts. Inside, it’s just the usual school life. Teachers carrying stacks of notebooks, students rushing to get to class before the bell rings, and the sound of the principal’s voice every now and then. Meerut is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of the community here on Mawana Road. We don’t have a flashy website or do much on social media. Most families come to us because their older siblings or parents went here too. It’s about sticking to the basics and making sure the kids actually learn something. The playground gets a lot of use, and the grass is a bit patchy in spots, but the children don’t seem to mind. It’s just a regular, working school for regular families in the area.
