Pushplata Nursery & Meher Krishi Farm

Out here at Maukhas, things are a bit slower than in the city. Pushplata Nursery & Meher Krishi Farm is right on Garh Road. It’s a lot of open space and dirt, which is exactly how we like it. Most days start pretty early, before the sun gets too high and makes everything too hot to handle. We spend most of our time out in the fields or in the greenhouse area. It's not a clean office job. You end up with mud on your boots and dirt under your fingernails by noon every single day. Garh Road has a fair amount of traffic, mostly trucks and tractors passing by, but once you step back onto the farm, it’s mostly just the wind and the sound of whatever we’re working on. Maukhas is a quiet enough place to get things done without the constant distractions of the city. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us hauling bags or checking on the rows of plants. It’s a lot of physical work, and the weather really dictates what we do. If it rains, we scramble to cover things. If it’s dry, we’re out there watering for hours. It’s just how life goes on a farm like this. We’ve been at this location for a while and the land has its own rhythm we've learned to follow as we go.
