Bokaro Steel Plant

We are located over in Debalpur, Kalkati. It's part of Ward 6 in Kharagpur. Mostly we deal with steel stuff here at the plant. It's a pretty big site and we see a lot of people coming and going every single day. The weather here in West Mednipur gets quite hot in the summer, but we just keep the work going regardless. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the small desk in the front office, and it takes us a while to get through it all. People in the area know where we are because we've been in this exact spot for a long time now. Dealing with heavy metal is hard work and it gets very noisy when the machines are running full speed. We try our best to keep everything organized but it’s a busy place with lots of moving parts. If you are looking for us, we are right by the main roads in the district. It’s not a fancy corporate office or anything like that. Just a simple place where the real work gets done. My boss always says we need to keep a close eye on everything going out on the trucks. Those trucks start arriving early in the morning, sometimes before the sun is even up. They often get stuck in the traffic near Kharagpur, so things can get delayed. We have a small crew and everyone just knows what they need to do. It gets dusty inside the plant, but that’s just life in West Bengal.
