Vijaya Sai Granites

If you go down Highway Road in Dayagaramodi Village, you will find us at Survey No.387/A. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but being out here gives us the space we need for all the granite. The village is usually quiet except for when the machines are running at the yard. We have a small shed where we keep the paperwork and a few chairs for when customers come by to pick out their stone. It gets really hot out here in the afternoons, so we try to get the heaviest lifting done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Most of the people working here are from the village, so we all know each other’s families and what is going on in town. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just a desk and a fan that squeaks a bit. The granite comes in big blocks and we have to be careful with the cranes because the ground can be uneven after a heavy rain. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back on before we can finish the polishing. It’s a simple way of doing business and we don't try to make it sound more complicated than it is. We just cut the stone and sell it to whoever needs it for their house or building.
